PROFILE
Elizabeth has practiced insurance defense litigation throughout her legal career in Maine, New York, and Massachusetts, including medical malpractice in all three jurisdictions. She was also part of a team that pioneered defense of lead paint litigation in New York City in the early through mid-1990’s. Elizabeth currently focuses her practice at Norman Hanson DeTroy as part of the medical malpractice group defending health care providers in medical malpractice cases, and representing the interests of health care providers before the professional licensing boards in Maine.
Serving individuals with intellectual disabilities has been a meaningful and rewarding part of Elizabeth’s life over the past decade. She continues to spend time with the IDD community, helping to offer opportunities for enrichment and community integration.
Elizabeth lives in Scarborough with her husband. She savors spending time with her grown children and two young grandchildren. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors walking, biking, swimming, and boating.
