PROFILE
Matthew Mehalic focuses his work on insurance coverage related matters, including third-party liability defense assessment and first-party claim analysis and investigation. Matt obtained his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2016. He has litigated coverage issues in both Maine State and Federal Courts where he has obtained favorable decisions for his clients.
In addition to the insurance coverage related work, Matt handles insurance defense and subrogation matters involving diverse issues ranging from construction disputes, general negligence, premises liability, product liability, contract disputes, and trespass.
Matt also represents individuals and companies in prosecuting claims in the subject matters referenced above.
Matt’s clients value the degree of scrutiny that he brings to all inquiries, his due diligence, special investigation, and equal attention to both complex and simple matters.
Prior to attending and graduating from the University of Maine School of Law, Matthew trained as an archeologist and anthropologist at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Matt enjoys spending time in the western Maine mountains during all seasons with his family.
