PROFILE
Emily Gaewsky is a member of NHD’s workers’ compensation group. She represents the interests of employers and insurance companies in complex claims before the Maine Workers’ Compensation Board and New Hampshire’s Department of Labor.
Prior to merging with NHD in 2025, Emily practiced for several years at Thompson Bowie & Hatch, LLC. Before joining TB&H, Emily worked for a local personal injury firm in Portland, Maine, for nine years. She graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in 2014. As a student, she worked for the Maine Human Rights Commission, for the Corporation Counsel for the City of Portland, and served on the editorial board of the Maine Law Review. Emily was the recipient of the Maine Association for Public Interest Law fellowship for her work in the Employment Unit of Greater Boston Legal Services.
Emily was born in Argentina but was raised in central Maine. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Middlebury College. She now lives in Westbrook, Maine, with her husband and two children.
